How to Use the Case Lab

How to Use the Case Lab

Candidate attempt → Examiner lens → Improved consultation

Read only the case set-up and cue first. Say your next line out loud. Then compare it with the candidate attempt and examiner lens. The improved wording is an example, not a script. Finally, practise carrying the patient’s information into the management plan.

The 24 RTO Scenarios

These cases deliberately focus on communication decisions. They are not complete clinical mark schemes. In the real SCA, combine these RTO behaviours with safe data gathering and management based on current guidance.
