This course is designed to take you from knowing nothing about the SCA to being fully exam-ready. It is structured progressively—each lesson builds on the last. You do not need any prior SCA preparation to begin.
The SCA is a skills-based exam. Unlike the AKT, you cannot pass it by memorising facts alone. You need to demonstrate that you can consult like a safe, competent, newly qualified GP. The good news is that this is a learnable skill, and this course will teach you exactly how.
How to use this course:
Work through the modules in order. Each lesson is self-contained and designed to be completed in a maximum of 10 minutes. If you already have some understanding of the exam, we will guide you to the most relevant sections.
In this module, you will cover the following lessons:
- Lesson 1.2: What Is the SCA? From CSA to RCA to SCA
- Lesson 1.3: Exam Format
- Lesson 1.4: The Three Marking Domains — How You Are Assessed
- Lesson 1.5: The Blueprint: Clinical Experience Groups
- Lesson 1.6: Scoring, Pass Marks & Borderline Regression
